Capt. Nick Rajacic and Commodore Goldie

Educated as both an earth science teacher and social worker, Nick is an adjunct instructor at Finlandia University in the off season. He also facilitates programs for Community Corrections.

Commodore Goldie is our chief executive officer. His wish is our command.

Copper Harbor lighthouse host since 2009. Retired from Honeywell International Inc. Graduated from Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI with a degree in Geography/History. Spends the winters in the historic copper mining district of Bisbee, AZ and the summers in Copper Harbor, MI.

 

 

Kurt Fosburg

Kurt Fosburg

Vice President of the Marquette Maritime Museum and active with the Keweenaw Historical Society, Kurt is well versed in both the maritime and mining history of the region. An avid rockhound, Kurt bought his own abandoned mine shaft to explore. One of only five lampists in the USA, Kurt has worked on Fresnel lens restorations as far east as Bermuda and to the west as far as Hawaii, with numerous projects on the Pacific west coast.
